The meal was in preparation. I actually contacted a freelance chef that was able to provide a catering concept. Let me show you proof below. I have copied the latest email out and pasted it here. appears when I need to cancel out certain information from the mail. You will see why I stopped replying after a while. Actually, you can already see it below in orange. Though (s)he sent another email to make the correction, I seriously doubt that with that email that came before, (s)he will be able to tell the difference between the types of vegetarians around. Guess we will have to settle for some proper restaurant then...
Hi Tribute...
In my reply...I mentioned that pork might be halal... correction: pork is never halal. Mm..the fish dishes in my menu ...are halal considering the ingredients...

It may be easier to cook for a vegan than a halal person. :) lol. For Halal, there is halal chicken and I guess all the fruits and vegetables will be ok to use (or anything with the halal symbol). The fish dishes are not halal. Pork might be halal...I don't usually cook pork dishes as I prefer leaner meat like chicken. A few dishes I did are not on the blog, for instance, Soy sauce chilli chicken fillets. I don't know what he would prefer (maybe he doesn't like chicken).
Oh...it's nice to know you're easy-going about the menu and that my blog satisfies. :) Yeah, not easy to cook food that's yummy and pleases everyone.
Yeah, courses with appetizers etc...not possible I think, unless I am there, with the stove and all the equipment. Lol.
Catering concept...for 20 or less people, it might be possible. Each person will have a meal on its own (main dish and dessert). Not sure if I can use take-away containers (plates & bowls with lids) and then transport there?
Then the other thing is transportation and keeping the food warm/hot (for main dishes) or cool (for desserts) until they get there.

I'll confirm the exact number of people soon, and yes, 1 vegan. It's kinda sad that she had to be a vegan hanging out with us. We are pretty easy-going in the menu, since some of us cook and know it is not that easy to prepare good food. Others just have no inkling of how to cook and think that cooking is a high level skill.
I have been to your blog. The spread looks pretty good to me.
I am thinking of something like a catering concept. Is it too much of a trouble for you? Nothing is final yet, so we still can discuss. It's not feasible to go by courses with this many people involved.
I forgot to ask in the last email if the dishes are halal. It'll affect only one person. So if it's too much trouble for you, we could purchase his separately on our own.

Hi Tribute,
Yes, I read the post there. You need it for about 20 people in June, and 1 person is a vegan?
What do you have in mind about the food? Which food? Catering concept? Or...?

In my post in SGClub, I said that I had a handover dinner to take care of, under the username Tribute. This email is sent so that you can communicate with me even if you cannot PM.
